Description:
The Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PBRC), a research facility of the Louisiana State University System is seeking an individual to work as a Research Specialist in the Ingestive Behavior Laboratory. Activities will include data collection and analysis for studies of eating behavior, energy balance, exercise, weight management, and food photography. Responsibilities include maintaining adherence to study protocols and ethical guidelines, collecting and analyzing food photography data, and delivery of lifestyle change interventions. Additional responsibilities include administering self-report questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, contributing to the writing of research documents and grant applications, writing reports to funding agencies, and presentation preparation.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in nutrition, psychology, or a related science and an interest in conducting health research are required. Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD eligible, experience conducting research with human volunteers, computer experience, and data management experience are preferred. In addition to the above requirements, the successful applicant must show excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
