Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a campus of Louisiana State University system, located in Baton Rouge Louisiana is recruiting several post doctorates in basic, clinical and population science. Highly motivated, research trained MDs and PhDs are invited to join our research efforts to uncover genetic, molecular, physiological and behavioral triggers of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and dementia. Pennington Biomedical is a vibrant environment that provides didactic instruction and hands on mentoring for postdoctoral scientists seeking an independent career in biomedical research. Research resources are available from three on site NIH sponsored research centers including a Nutrition Obesity Research Center, Center for the Study of Botanicals and Metabolic Syndrome, and the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science Center. Pennington Biomedical provides salary support and research funding for postdoctoral fellows from NIH research grants, institutional funds and its two NIH institutional training grants.
