PBRC - Research Study Coordinator - Leonhard
Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is seeking to hire a Pediatric Research Coordinator in the Clinical Trials Unit. The Pediatric Research Coordinator will oversee and participate in medical, clinical and interventional research studies as per established protocols and institutional policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities include the accurate and timely collection of subject/participant data; the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical trial studies; data management; study visit preparation and coordination; participant consenting; study status communication; study visits; and collaboration with other departments and institutions. The Pediatric Research Coordinator will work closely with the Principal Investigators and Program Managers in the coordination of grants and the development and implementation of pediatric research studies.
Bachelorâ€™s degree in business, science or health related field; or a Bachelorâ€™s degree in nursing with a current Louisiana license as a Registered Nurse; or a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition with a current Louisiana license is required. Advanced degree preferred. Three to five years pediatric experience required. One to three years progressive experience in a clinical setting preferred. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and utilize new computer programs/software is required. Hours of work may vary depending upon the demands of the study and the needs of the institution.
