Dr. Kennedy's areas of interest are developing an instrument that will determine why some African Americans do and do not participate in clinical research trials. She is a community advocate and is involved in every facet of community service. She is a trainer in the area of cultural diversity and has extensive training in conducting focus groups. Before becoming an instructor, she served as Recruitment Coordinator for eight years, successfully recruiting for several multicenter clinical trials and others for the purpose of obtaining and retaining volunteers.
